Your Weekly Dose of Real Estate News, Open Houses, Listings and More — by Jeff “City” Block
Open for Business. Prudent & Safe
When it comes to Expert Real Estate Representation, I strive to always be ahead of the curve. Innovative ideas and strategies and taking every step possible to deliver the best possible service to my clients. When it comes to the health of my team, my clients, our customers, all of their friends and loved ones, and the general public, I will do everything possible to be ahead of the curve as well.
We are now in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic. Absolutely not a time to panic, but a time for caution, reasonableness, preparedness, and perhaps most importantly, consideration for others and the community at large. As most everyone realizes by now, this is a very serious situation. Many, if not all, group gatherings have already been canceled and it is likely that schools, offices, and many businesses will be closing soon. Not to mention airlines, sports leagues, etc.
The best way to keep our city and loved ones as safe as possible is to limit group exposures and contact as much as possible. Doing this is a win-win. Fewer people exposed means less crowded hospitals and it also means our city and economy will come out of this quicker and in better shape.
To that end, the City Block Team will not be holding any open houses starting this weekend and until the time is appropriate and safe to resume. Also, effective immediately, all CBT agents and admin staff have been advised to work from home instead of the office.
That being said, the City Block Team remains totally open for business. We will work from home, be fully available (probably more so than usual), and will still be able to show any properties at your convenience and with all proper health and safety precautions in place. And if you can’t travel or prefer not to see a home in person, we can arrange video tours as well.
To summarize:
We want to be ahead of the curve and help keep our agents, staff, clients and their family and contacts, and the general public as safe as possible.
We will be fully open for business: selling homes, showing buyers, making appointments, providing information—all with safety precautions in place.
We will not be hosting public open houses.
We will continue to provide Expert Real Estate Representation.
Most importantly, please be considerate of others and remember that even if you are not concerned with getting sick, that some in our community are much more vulnerable than others. When my synagogue sent out a notice that Shabbat Services would be canceled for the foreseeable future, they referenced the Jewish principle of “pikuach nefesh,” which means that the preservation of human life supersedes any other religious law. Most people, whether Jewish or not, believe this, and please all be safe in your upcoming ventures, wash your hands, don’t come in close contact, and be especially mindful of the more vulnerable people in our community.
L’chaim.
Warm regards,
Jeff
