Wishing a Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and a Happy New Year to all.
May 2024 bring you peace, joy, and kindness. Health and happiness. Wonder and enlightenment. Friendship and love. Hard work and plenty of relaxation.
As we enter the near year, I just wanted to affirm that I am so grateful—for health, work, food, a home, comfort, and laughter. For family and friends—and for everyone I work with—clients, team members, colleagues, and to all of the readers of Around the Block.
This year in real estate, the number of transactions was down (both nationally and in Philly), mostly due to low inventory and higher interest rates. I am not one to predict the economy (can anyone really?), but it looks like interest rates have hit their peak and will come down from here (who knows how fast and how much). And Philly is totally primed to be a hot real estate market in 2024! I have already heard from many more clients starting to prepare for 2024 home sales than I heard from in December 2023, so that is awesome. Also, I am optimistic that our new Mayor, Cherelle Parker, will be a strong, positive force for the city, and I see positive trends ahead!
