Hey Readers, Perhaps you knew that the Eagles play this Sunday at 4:05. Against a quite bad Jacksonville Jaguars team. I think the highlight of this particular matchup is that the Jags are coached by Doug Pederson, the only Super Bowl winning coach in Philadelphia Eagles history! The photo above is of the statute at the Linc that memorializes one of the greatest moments in Eagles history--when QB Nick Foles went to Coach Pederson and said, “Philly, Philly.” Though the Eagles did not have a play actually called "Philly, Philly," Pederson knew exactly what Foles meant—The Philly Special. And the rest is history. I highly recommend watching both of these videos. |

Okay, perhaps you also know that there is an election next week. One that is much more important than the Eagles. And I ask you to be sure to vote. Many of you probably voted already. I have, and I received confirmation from the Board of Elections that my ballot was received. And I clicked this link to confirm that my name was not on a list of ballots that have been rejected for one reason or another but that can still be cured. The link also includes information on fixing a deficient ballot. You can also track your mail-in ballot here. Importantly, you do not have to mail your mail-in ballot. And at this point, it is too late to make sure it is received in time. Your best bet is to drop it off at an official mail-ballot drop box location. Which locations you can find here. You can search the closest location by address.
Anyway, I am no egomaniac who is paying millions of dollars to Pennsylvanians who register to vote and agree to sign a bogus petition. I registered to vote, and I actually support the Constitution without needing a billionaire to pay me to do so. But I digress. What I am doing is raffling off a pair of Birds tickets for this Sunday’s game!!! With no strings attached.
The two tickets are in Section 125, Row 31, in the Lower Bowl.
The 15th person who responds to this email with the word “VOTE” or any phrase or sentence with the word “vote” in it wins the Eagles tickets. Pithy phrases are encouraged but not required and will not affect the winner of this contest. Likewise, actual voting is also encouraged but not required to win this raffle. However, I am pretty confident that all ATB readers plan to vote in this election.
Anyway, good luck winning the Eagles tickets, and I hope you all have an awesome weekend.
GO BIRDS!! GO VOTE!!
Warm regards,
Jeff |
