EAGLES TICKETS &
LET’S GO PHILS

The Phillies are just plain awesome! Up to 2 games to 0 on the Diamondbacks in the NLCS and playing absolutely lights out. Hitting for power and average. Running the bases. Fielding. And, of course, pitching. Just off the charts.
By the way, do you remember back in the day when the Phils would play a late game on the West Coast, and the morning Inquirer would have a disclaimer that the game ended too late for the morning edition? You would flip on KYW 1060 to see if they won. Well, in a retro moment, that is how the ATB sets up this morning. Because as you read this, the Phils will either have a commanding 3-0 lead or have lost a little momentum but still be up 2 games to 1. Since I had to finish writing the ATB on Thursday this week, I cannot bring you Thursday night game coverage (even though last night’s game actually started at 5:07 EDT, so it wasn’t even late.) Anyway, I predicted the Fightins’ to win the game and remain undefeated in the NLCS. Was I right?
I hope the Phils fared better than the last Philly team I predicted to remain undefeated. That would be going way back to this past Sunday when I believed the Philadelphia Eagles would handily defeat the NY Jets to improve to 6-0. That did not happen, and the Jets defeated the Eagles for the first time in the history of these two franchises. The Eagles had been 12-0 all-time against the Jets. And it took a lot for them to blow this game. A real lot. It is certainly true that on any given Sunday…
This Sunday night, the now 5-1 Eagles will take on the 5-1 Miami Dolphins. Multiple storylines here. The Dolphins scored 70 points in week 3 this year.–Wow! Then there is the tale of two quarterbacks, as Jalen Hurts leads the Birds while Tua Tagovailoa helms the Fish. Tua famously replaced Jalen in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship game and led the Alabama Crimson Tide to victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. Tua hit DeVonta Smith for the game-winning TD! And what about the simple fact that the Eagles and Dolphins are both 5-1 and among the elite teams in the NFL this year! Also, the Phils are not playing Sunday night, so it is all Eagles! I mean, this Sunday night game is a winner.
And did I mention the Birds will be wearing their new Kelly green uniforms for the first time.

And one more thing — I am raffling off two Eagles tickets to this Sunday Night Showdown. In the Lower Bowl (Sec. 125).
The 13th ATB reader to reply to this email gets these tickets. I picked 13 because that is how many playoff games the Phils must win to become World Series Champions. That simple.
Go Phils, Go Birds! And good luck winning these tickets!
Have a great weekend.
Warm regards,
Jeff
