Hey, I know there is a lot going on in our country right now, and 2021 is already in full swing, so I thought we would take a look back at the holidays.
On a sad note, in mid-December, I had mentioned that my wife’s beloved Papa, Richard Onest, was diagnosed with COVID-19. He passed away from the disease on December 28, 2020, at the age of 85. Papa raised Kristen and no one did more for her in her life. He was always there. He is one of the greatest men I ever met. If everyone had his temperament our country would not have any issues. God bless you, Papa.
Richard Onest is one of 390,000 Americans who have lost their life to COVID-19 to date.
Papa loved Christmas and would get a kick out of how members of the City Block Team spent their holidays.
So, this is a good time for…

CBT Open Houses on hold. Safe private showings continue.
|
The City Block Team strives to be a leader in the real estate community, and keeping our clients and community safe is always a primary goal. So our open houses remain on hold until further notice due to the substantial rise in COVID-19 cases in the Philadelphia area.
All of our listings remain available for safe, private showings at your convenience, and we are always available to show.
So if you planned to hit an open house this weekend, just let me know ([email protected]). Or, if you already have a buyer agent, please contact them, and we will set the showing right away, at your convenience.
Thank you for your understanding.

Spotlight Property of the Week

2 Bed | 2 Bath | eat-in kitchen | living room | patio | 1,200 Sq. ft.
$595,000
A very special home. The perfect combination of character, charm, warmth, and light. Lovely outdoor space, easy to live in, and one block off Rittenhouse Square. Renovated 2-bedroom, 2 full bath residence. Very cute patio (with an easement to bring your bike and trash cans through the back). Significant character throughout includes the random width pine floors throughout and exposed brick. Historic approved replacement windows. Gorgeous eat-in-kitchen with honed stone counters, Sub Zero refrigerator, Bertazzoni range and oven, and Bosch dishwasher. Ample cabinet and drawer space.
The 1st floor is above street level and contains the cute living room. A few steps down to the patio and ground level kitchen (below the kitchen is the full basement).
The 2nd floor has a bedroom (currently used as family room and office with custom walnut desk included) and full bath.
The Main bedroom and bath (stone, tile, radiant floors) are on the 3rd floor. Surprisingly good closet space throughout. And great views, too.
The radiator heat and central air keeps this home perfectly comfortable all year round with really low utility bills.
One of Rittenhouse Square’s most charming homes. Perfect for full-time home, a sweet pied-a-terre, or as an Air-BnB. And the best location, one block off the square. 100 Walk Score. Parking available on block though you can walk everywhere–restaurants, supermarket, spectacular Rittenhouse Farmers Market, coffee shops, tons of shopping, universities, hospital, and 30th Street Station. Great for biking and SEPTA as well. NOTE–Seller will deliver home with most of the curated furnishings for an additional price.
