A Happy Passover to all who celebrate!
For centuries Jews around the world have proclaimed, “Next year in Jerusalem.

In 2020 and 2021, we also say, “Next year In person.
“
The Block family has always had a huge Seder where our family, mostly from Philly, but also from around the country and world, gets together to kibitz and eat matzo ball soup, gefilte fish, roasted chicken, and macaroons (not to be confused with macarons). I remember being a little boy at these Seders, and now me and my cousins have spouses and kids of our own.
Some family members I see regularly and some only twice a year at Pesach and Break-Fast. I love these Block family holidays, and now for the second year in a row, we will be virtual on a huge Zoom call. I will be thrilled to see all, but as we all know now, Zoom calls of any size (especially the large ones) are not really close to the actual thing. It doesn’t matter, as we are so fortunate to have our health and our immediate family together, and may we all say…
Finally, a cute anecdote that I am sure all Jewish/Christian interfaith families are familiar with.
Ezra (5 years old): “When is Easter?”
Me: “Next Sunday, but Passover starts this weekend.
“
Ezra: “Oh man, that is so far away. I can’t wait for Easter.”

Greater Philly Area Breweries and Tasty Food

Philly’s very first Black-owned brewery, Two Locals Brewing just released its first pours. Nubian Brown Ale, Prolific Hazy IPA, and Who You Wit? Belgian-style witbier. They are available in four-packs, cans, and sixtel kegs.
- For those wanting to dress up and enjoy a fancy evening full of sparkling wine flights, pretzel-crusted calamari, and skyline views JG SkyHigh at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center invites guests to its Glamour Hour. (Monday to Wednesday, reservations required).

The new Cheshire Brewing Company in Elkins Park joins the list of Philly-area craft brewers. Its open for carryout and curbside pickup with seven beers available on tap and in crowlers and growlers.
