Our Philadelphia Eagles

vs

The Kansas City Chiefs

(and their highly annoying and infamous Tomahawk Chop).

Source: NFL - Superbowl LIX

Last week, I discussed Super Bowl LVII against the Chiefs. That game was a huge downer, so I reserved that chatter for two weeks before the Super Bowl.

Now that we are at Super Bowl week-- just 72 hours away--I want to focus on a much better Super Bowl. Actually, the greatest game in history—Super Bowl LII. Also a rematch, it featured the Eagles vs the Tom Brady-dynasty-era New England Patriots. The Birds beat the Pats, and I fully expect the Birds to do the same to the Chiefs this weekend.

I just watched these two videos to get primed for this week’s game, and I recommend you do the same. First, a brief video highlighting the Philly Special:

Next, I think you may enjoy this below video of Super Bowl LII Highlights—hosted by Philly GOAT QB Nick Foles! Ok, it is 20 minutes, but that is 1/3 of an hour of pure bliss! Watch at least a few minutes and get pumped up. E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!!

Now, this photo below shows how I looked and felt at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis after Super Bowl LII:

And I expect to feel the exact same way this Sunday evening after the Eagles crush the Chiefs!

Another thing-- kudos to Philly School Superintendent Tony B Watlington. He is not announcing that Philly schools will open two hours late on Monday morning as the District did for Super Bowl LVII two years ago. Why? The reason is obvious. Because we lost that Super Bowl, and superstition rules here. You don't do the same things this time around. So bright and early Monday morning, kiddos. Though I do hope they call an audible on Sunday night after the Birds win!

Finally, because nothing gets you ready for one of the biggest football games in Philly history more than a... wait for it...

Choral concert by the Grammy Award-winning ensemble The Crossing (also just named Musical America’s 2024 Ensemble of the Year), I am offering two tickets to their concert this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at the gorgeous Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.

The second person to reply to this email will win the tickets and enjoy luxuriating in the sounds of this spectacular ensemble before getting into pure game mode later this weekend.

By the way, I chose the second respondent to pre-celebrate the Eagles' second Super Bowl victory coming later this weekend. Also, I understand it would be more popular if I were raffling off Super Bowl tickets, but at this point, are you even able to get to the Big Easy for the Big Game? Meanwhile, The Crossing is playing right here in the City of Brotherly Love. I can email the tickets to whoever wins.

And here is more information about this local, internationally known ensemble--The Crossing.

Well, I guess the ATB is eclectic, if nothing else.

GO BIRDS!!!

I really hope we all have a great weekend.

Best regards,

Jeff
